Gold and silver shine in G-Shock metallic series

G-Steel Fine Metallic Series picks up on trend for precious metal timekeepers.

Casio has spent a decade developing versions of its key collections that combine a new silicone strap with bright metal cases and bezels.

It launches today with two GM5600 watches and two GM2100 styles in a new G-Steel Fine Metallic Series that spans digital and analog timekeeping.

In each style, there is a silver and a gold-colored version.

The watches all have the expected shock- and water-resistance, but G-Shock is particularly excited about what it calls a revolutionary Tough Silicone strap that is designed with flexibility, comfort, and strength in mind.

Importantly, they also come in metallic colors matching the watch heads with polished silver or gold bezels.

“G-Steel Fine Metallic Series is a testament to Casio’s unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of design and technology. By blending G-Shock’s signature durability with cutting-edge style, the collection not only speaks to loyal G-Shock enthusiasts but also attracts a new generation of consumers with its fashion-forward, slimmer profiles,” the company says.

The watches are brimming with timekeeping tech including  1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, multi-function alarm and world times in 48 cities.

Prices range from $240 to $280.
